Challenges and Opportunities

On Tuesday, April 16, 2019 The Jersey City Housing Authority held the fourth session of the Holland Gardens Visioning Process. In this session, representatives from the design firm Kitchen & Associates reviewed the potential approaches to revitalization that were introduced during March’s Visioning Session (session 3). JCHA’s Director of Development, Modernization, and Sustainability then summarized HUD’s Goals for the future of public housing, HUD regulations for development and revitalization, and financial restrictions and opportunities. Finally, Kitchens & Associates showed residents the City’s vision for the neighborhood including current development trends and zoning regulations.
